For little over a year now I have worked in the Office of Event Services at The University of Georgia scheduling and organizing the logistical aspects of cliental needs in relation to large event spaces on campus. I have planned banquets, concerts, and even fashion shows. I have learned to be extra-creative at times: thinking outside the box to come up with stellar setups on minimal budgets. This work has also allowed me the opportunity to develop relationships with many campus professionals and student organizations working to enhance their experience on campus.
Here are some snapshots of the events I have planned:
THE National council of Negro women’s Annual decades of hair show
The University of Georgia’s Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Annual Auction
The African Student Union’s FEARed II fashion show to promote awareness of human/sex trafficking.
